Utah Microcredentials offer you options to meet your professional learning goals at your own pace and in your own classroom. They are truly personalized, competency-based learning for educators.

In this session, you will not only learn how to earn a microcredential, you will begin working on earning a microcredential with expert support.

Come participate in a highly engaging writing experience that you can take back to modify and share with your students. This session will outline a start to finish process as an example of what is possible with the combination of tools used to create a final student product. This training will showcase WeWillWrite (grades 4-12), Google Slides, and Adobe Express in a mashup that will keep your students immersed in writing, collaborative group work, creating, and problem solving.

We can't wait to share with you the story of how two middle school math teacher, one new and one experienced have used the RISE performance level descriptors and RISE DOK blue prints to plan backwards to increase the rigor in their classrooms. They have approached it differently, one analyzing existing assessments and the other creating new ones. The 2024 National Education Technology Plan (NETP) provides a critical framework for leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning in K-12 education. This presentation will examine the NETP's focus on addressing three key digital divides: the Digital Use Divide, the Digital Design Divide, and the Digital Access Divide. Participants will gain an understanding of how these divides impact educational equity and explore practical strategies for implementation aligned with the NETP's recommendations. This lesson is designed to guide students in creating a vector self-portrait using Google Drawings. This engaging activity is suitable for in person, distance learning or as a substitute teacher activity. While younger students may need some initial guidance, the project is enjoyable and yields fantastic results that students will love revisiting in the future.

This session will explore the state’s implementation of Panorama Student Success as a statewide Early Warning System (EWS), designed to proactively identify students who may be at risk of falling off track and ensure timely, targeted interventions.
Schools and districts across the state are using Panorama Student Success to monitor key indicators such as attendance, behavior, and coursework in one centralized platform. This system empowers educators with real-time, actionable insights to support students.
Attendees will learn how Panorama Student Success aligns with Utah’s broader vision for supporting a positive and safe school culture, and hear examples of how educators are using this tool to build intervention plans, collaborate across teams, and ensure no student falls through the cracks. We’ll also highlight the importance of cross-district collaboration and state leadership in scaling an EWS that serves student populations statewide.
