About me
Susie Estrada is a dynamic leader with over 17 years of experience in education and youth development. As the School Improvement Programs and Special Education Parent Engagement Specialist at the Utah State Board of Education, she leads family and community engagement with an emphasis on equity, inclusion, and authentic voice. Her career spans early childhood, gang prevention, out-of-school programs, EL support, curriculum, and policy. A recipient of the NAA 2020 Next Generation of Leaders award, Susie is recognized for her humor, innovation, and ability to build strong partnerships. She is passionate about empowering families and educators to co-create systems that support every learner. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering and spending time with her husband and their feathered, scaled, and furry companions.
