About me
I have been in education for 27 years, first as a special education teacher, grant writer for the SLCSD, and an administrator at the secondary level for 17 years. I served as a principal in a small, district charter setting and a small alternative high school. I have experience recruiting students and working with a very tight budget. I also have led in very large high school settings. Currently, I am working towards an doctoral degree with a research emphasis on retaining new teachers. As a principal I took on the role of working with new teachers in my buildings. I am experienced with designing presentations, presenting to groups and am passionate about new teacher retention.
