About me
Liz Brown was the 2024 UAEA Art Teacher of the year for Utah. She is passionate about arts integration and children getting the opportunity to create. She has worked in education for more than 20 years, as an elementary classroom teacher, with experience in kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms. She has been an ESL specialist, a Math Specialist, an Interventionist, a Reading Specialist and spent 8 years as a visual art specialist with the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program. While in the classroom she participated in the Art Leadership Program and for 2 years with the Arts Bridge Program with BYU. She serves on the BYU Arts Leadership team, as well as a mentor for new visual art teachers in the BYU region. She has served on the Utah Art Educators Association Board for 9 years. Currently, Liz Brown is a BTS Art Coach for the Northeastern Utah Educational Service Center (NUES).
