About me
Jenna Olson is a highly motivated and self-directed educator with extensive experience in both teaching and school administration. Currently serving as the principal at Monticello Elementary School, she has successfully led the school through post-COVID challenges, fostering a thriving academic and social environment. Jenna is passionate about continuous learning and is currently pursuing her EdD in Educational Leadership, expected to be completed in 2024.
Jenna's career includes a broad range of roles, from teaching 5th and 6th grades at Monticello Elementary to district-level responsibilities such as mentoring novice principals and coordinating the district’s Geography Bee. Her leadership experience is complemented by her involvement in various professional teams, including the District Leadership Team and the Technology Implementation Team. She has implemented highly effective school improvement strategies, such as data meetings, which have led to significant academic growth for Monticello Elementary students.
Her expertise in communication, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with teachers, parents, and administrators has been key in her success as a leader. Jenna has also demonstrated a commitment to technological integration in education, creating resources such as an online tutorial website for students.
In addition to her current role, Jenna is deeply interested in shaping future educators and leaders at the post-secondary level, aiming to influence positive change throughout education.
