Dr. Chathuri (Chat) Illapperuma-Wood Ph.D. is the Partnerships Director at the Utah School Mental Health Collaborative and the U-TTEC Lab within the College of Education at the University of Utah. A nationally certified school psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst, she specializes in school-based mental and behavioral health services. Since joining the U-TTEC Lab as a postdoctoral fellow in 2020.
Dr. Illapperuma-Wood has taken on various leadership roles, including clinical supervisor, researcher, program coordinator, and implementation coordinator. Her work focuses on developing and implementing innovative mental health initiatives in schools, with a strong emphasis on partnerships, unique needs, and technology-enhanced interventions. She actively contributes to research on child and adolescent mental health, including the impact of COVID-19 on youth well-being.
